The April Heights - Day 2 - #114

This old house of ours
emptied of all memories
Deserted at last

The calm before storms
All the birds have deserted
Silence in the wood

  1. A sense of dark regret in the first haiku that is poetically enchanting! A storm does seem to initiate deserted spaces!

  4. I like "emptied of all memories" ... strange that it really happens this way. Memories do leave together with the ones that carry them although they are fixed on the particular place!
    Great work!
