Hello and Goodbye

From his latest discovery pad
he launches rockets
of excitement toward
a known destination
Filled to the brim with himself
he is flying toward
lost participation, regained,
lost friendship, reframed,
just for him
From her observation deck
she watches in awe and angst
seeing his rockets lighting up
the sky and filling her landscape
with a kaleidoscope of colour
not for her
In the aftermath she searches
for the answers to old questions
but there are none
she can only remain the
conscientious observer of
her own fate
she is armed against the inevitable
alone
His rockets have struck accurately
on target, and he relaxes in the
knowledge of reversed rejection
and a certain retributive justice
which flavours his day
with bright ideas
as he contemplates
the pleasures of
new alliances
he is not
alone

  2. A hello and goodbye to be cautious of. I love the metaphor..how some seem to plot a course that the rest of us must some how live in the wreckage..some star men/women I am sure bring good things..
