Oblivious

In this world
of illusion
she treads
lightly
leaving no
footprints
no scent
to be
picked up
by marauding
packs of
coniferous
beasts
hungry
for
her
She lies down
in tall,
sweet smelling,
blue grass
and listens
to the sound
of
the wind
as it moves
over her
hiding place
touching her
gently
like a mother's
kiss
on her child's
cheek
She lies
quietly
feeling
the earth
beneath her
breathing
with an
ancient
rhythm
a subtle,
sweet,
massage
constant
and
penetrating
She feels
safe
protected

oblivious

  5. You have brought to mind when I used to go to the country and we were more or less free to roam and just be home for dinner...Sometimes the group of children would play together, but there was some free alone wondering time too.

I can get that way just going to the edge of my yard and gazing into the muggy waters of the creek and watching the reflections on the water...

Thank you for your visits and kind words. :)
