For Rodriguez

“Silver magic ships you carry”
even when you were unknown
You wrote the words that many
adopted as their own

Your story of redemption
strikes a chord, cutting deep,
Open wounds that might have festered
healed by words you would repeat

Lost but not forgotten
by those who really heard
They would search for you forever
hanging fast to every word

“Sugar man you’re the answer”
that shows life can rebound
when the message isn’t wasted
but continues to compound

"ellecee"
