Genes




The pathologist's heart
skips a beat as he views
a mutant cell through his
microscope

Somewhere else the donor
lifts his glass and toasts
the beautiful intangibles
of life

    I was once on a prayer list for a 3-year-old girl who desperately needed a heart transplant. So very hard to pray that one would become available.
