Haste and impatience? it does a soul great things to hope and play the odds, but the deck is always stacked, and mother nature will always hold the winning hand .... much to the disappointment of the moment of loss. Such as it is - still, there is a beauty within the frosted dark/light, even if it's only temporary and it may all have to be scrapped.
I relate to this one, L.C. You told it well, in well under 100 words. Two years in a row we've had a hard killing frost. Last year it killed a palm tree and quite a few perennial flowering plants, plus bushes, etc. ..
The weather can be ki d the weather can be temperamental. We have to be intuned and manage
ReplyDeleteNice poem
Much🌼love
Ooh the frost can be unforgiving! Powerful write, Linda.
ReplyDeleteNope. Just when it seems all the flowers are out and happy, another killing frost comes. Such sadness.
ReplyDeleteI must say - the frost certainly gave you an amazing photo opportunity!
