We Ride

We gallop
the wind whips my hair
my thighs tingle
my heart rushes
 scenes fly by

We canter
the wind warm on my face
the scent of flowers

We trot
the grass shivers
blooms bend

We walk
my heart slows
I'm smiling

We ride

Day 2 - Prompt - Horses

  1. Ah, super pretty poem that gives a strong sense of the experience. Note that I came here from your comment on my blog but was not able to use the link on toads (it blocked me). You may wish to check that out. k.

    1. Thank you for your comment in spite of the difficulty reaching my post. I hope I have corrected then problem for the next ones

  2. You have achieved a great progression from the gallop to the walk - lovely movement.

Please note that no one can reach your blog from the link you left there as it goes to a permissions only page. Please check your links after you have posted them if possible. We appreciate your comments and would like to return them. Thanks.

    1. Thanks so much for responding in spite of my difficulty with the link. I think it will be fine from now own. Thank you for your words.

  3. This sounds like a wonderful ride...beautiful poetry

  4. This is nice, Linda. Structured off the progressively slower paces of a riding horse, we enjoy differing sensations. You know but I'm not sure what 'we' is, the horse and its rider or two or more riding together? But it is still nice, either way.

    1. You are right, Jim, it could be either way. Thank you so much for your kind words.

  5. I like the structure and tenor of this pen ~

  6. Yesterday I made a mistake with my link. Thank you all so much for coming by with comments in spite of the difficulty.
