"Breathe-in experience, breathe-out Poetry" Muriel Rukeyser
There many places in the US where that scent would greet visitors to the wilderness. Nice haiku with a sad ending.
Now this is the kind of haiku I really enjoy. One full of sensual imagery so the reader can imagine slipping right into the scene.
Very evocative. Nice job!
This makes me think of Australia for some reason. I think because of the word "bush" Beautiful haiku
Nice I like the call of the wilderness
Recalling of wildfires - I imagine the moonscape of the aftermath is sad sight to view.September Heights - Choreographing Stars
"the smell of burnt bush" - lovely thought !!!
Full moon in a cloudless sky!!...What a beautiful view that would be..!
I am trying to understand this verse. Intriguing!
I like the call of wilderness....good one ~
Reminiscent of the joy and fun of a camp-fire in days long gone!Hank
'smell of burnt bush' - I sooo love that! reminds me of afternoons at home.
Does the moon have the power to burn a bush? Ah, I think many people would be surprised, wouldn't they? :)Pursuing the Moon
Very evocative. Well done
'full moon in a cloudless sky'I loved your take on Moon.
Your haiku evokes a full moon shining on the aftermath of a bush fire, the smell brought on the breeze.
Well said Ellecee. Nicely done.
Souns like Elle is going camping :) Have fun!
Ahh this reminds me a camping night under a full moon...by a fire burning low in the dark
Lovely subtle and evocative. Took me straight to the scene...
Lots of images that appeal to my senses. I hear the call of the wilderness too!
