She does so want
to be good at healing
Not to be sceptical or
too believing
Not to be dramatic
as if she only has a burden
To be nonchalant even
All smiles, awaiting
positive outcomes
The season helps,
though the air is
very cold, the sun is
shining through
Crocuses are blooming
in the flower beds
White, yellow, the colour
purple,
She remembers the lines
of a famous poem
“When I am old, I shall
wear purple”
“Warning” it’s called
What was the warning?
Aging perhaps?
She has no desire to
wear purple
but there is an underground
desire to be more
herself,
Whatever that is
Digression is her strong point
What of being good at healing?
What about that journey?
She thinks it might go well,
So many prayers,
so much encouragement,
so many taking part
She is not alone
That may be enough
