Oblivious

Head On A Stem, 'noir' by Odilon Redon
“Public domain”

She looks out on the world
A melancholy gaze
offered reluctantly at best
She lives in her head
her Universe centered there
Her body a thin stem
with little meaning
other than support
Her stare penetrates
the consciousness
of those who would ignore
Throw your sticks to the wind
all who abhor
She is oblivious

  1. Yes, you described her perfectly. I chose the same image, but mine went impish.

    of those who would ignore."💝
