Inuendo
The pungent scent of
cherry blossoms
dissipates as she leaves
the park
She’s been reflecting
Innuendo has it that she
has lost again
The old refrain repeated
over and over
She could almost
feel nostalgic
“Unlucky at love”
“bitter and aging”
She smiles
Almost benevolent
toward gossips who
can’t perceive
her joys repeated
again and again
Because of her courage
to flow
and grow
and
let go
