seep into the paper

A message that lasts

forever,

or at least a decade

I've seen such letters,

preserved over time

in tin boxes

Hidden in trunks

stored in attics

There are few attics

anymore,

or storage trunks

either, if you think

about such things

Your letter will be

preserved over time

In a wooden cigar

box

for at least a decade

Caught in memory

Unobserved
