Ah, if only that were true In this I (and others too) have failed miserably He, my nemesis, My folly Him I followed over continents Feeling the pain of rejection bitter as bile Too much lust, too little knowing Many mistakes are the same Forever entangled in his web I am none the less wary When he blithely returns to rattle me like a spider with his meal
