Again our eyes are drawnto van Gogh’s starry sky, his multiple shades of maize and bluesilluminating a quintessential street cafewhere people gather of an eveningto mingle and chat while savouringtheir favourite wine There are empty tableswhere we could sit, but not quite join, theothers at this evening rendezvousWe would linger absorbing the ambiencesurrounding us The scent of eventide,the glow of gas lamps, the starry skyWe, mellowed by wine, a light touchof hands, and each other,Engrossed in making memories to be savoured again and againover time
