Doubled edged
The sword and the dove
Which are we
And does one survive
without the other
There are rules
Golden and other
Prescriptions
Laid out
Do this
Don’t do that
Each adheres
according to his doctrine
His empathic belief
His Compassion
Or his hate
His antipathy
Or his recognition
or not
of the other
Yet
Hope for

moves all
onward
