Blooms

Warmth from Spring sunshine

Rich scent of leaves moldering

Enabler of blooms

Thaw

“Thaw with his gentle persuasion is more powerful than Thor with his hammer” The one melts, the other breaks in pieces”

Henry David Thoreau

She is reminded of past loves
Her own
The one suffused with romance
 bitter sweet
Days of sunshine
Little thunder
Two lives blending
then gently melting away
Ice in a crystal glass
Then on into a storm
Monsoons destroying
sacred springs
Tempestuous hours of lust
followed quickly with days
of bitterness and disdain
Blown apart
leaving only splenetic
regret
The first morphing into
gossamer dreams
The last
the last

Romantic Love

Romantic love

A memory

A refrain from the past

Blending bitter with sweet

magnolia blossoms and icicles

ardent rhetoric and screams

soft sighs and magnificent lies

Should you go there again

remember the dream

forget the scheme

Dictum

Feeding hungry mouths

no easy task

These aggressive

babes in the woods

There is no

no

Demand is constant

I’m curious

Do they have any thoughts?

These mothers in the wild

Do they resent their

babes constant needs?

I think not

Given that,

a mother’s love

bears all

Goldenrod

The mist dissipates

Fields of goldenrod emerge

Morning walk about
