More Fool You

More fool you
given' up yer grace
to the first pretty face
you's only a whim
to a rotter like him

More fool you
given up your stash
so he could have cash
and hit the road
take'n your load

More fool you

This month I am joining the poets over at
for NaPoWriMo

The challenge is to write a poem a day for the month of April
which is National Poetry Writing Month

The good toads in the garden are offering up a prompt every day
to help us with our task - today the prompt was "fool"

  1. More fool indeed! I like the use of vernacular in this poem. Brings the caution to life.

  2. I like the vernacular too, very real.

  3. "More fool you" for sure, Linda. First was bad news, second spelled catastrophe. Very funny when in the poem but truly sad in real life. Nicely written, it's sings along with the rhyme.

  5. And I'm another who likes the language. Almost bluesy.
